Industrial Caster Wheels Built for Reliable Mobility

TorqueCaster supplies industrial caster wheels for carts, machinery, workstations and material-handling equipment, with swivel, rigid, locking and multiple mounting options.

Frequently Asked Questions

When should I use a plate-mount caster?
Plate mounts suit carts and machinery with a strong, flat mounting surface. Multiple fasteners distribute attachment forces across the frame. Confirm plate dimensions, bolt-hole spacing, fastener grade, frame strength, overall height and swivel clearance before installation.
How is required caster load capacity calculated?
Add equipment weight, maximum payload and permanent accessories. Apply a service margin for shock, speed and floor conditions, then divide by the number of casters expected to carry load at one time. Four-caster equipment is often evaluated using three load-bearing casters because floors may be uneven.
What is the difference between a wheel brake and a total lock?
A wheel brake normally stops wheel rotation but may allow the caster to swivel. A total lock restrains both wheel rotation and swivel movement. Confirm the exact product mechanism and choose according to parking stability, operator access, floor conditions and equipment risk.
What does a directional-lock caster do?
A directional lock holds a swivel caster in a fixed travel direction, improving tracking along aisles or over longer distances. Releasing the lock restores swivel maneuverability. It controls direction rather than wheel rotation and is not a parking brake.
What information should I provide when requesting a caster recommendation?
Provide equipment weight, maximum payload, number of casters, operating floor, travel distance, speed, environment, preferred wheel material, brake needs and complete mounting dimensions. Photos or drawings of the mounting interface can help clarify compatibility.
Can TorqueCaster help compare caster mounting dimensions?
Yes. Send the top-plate size and hole pattern, stem thread and length, center-hole diameter, or tube inside dimensions as applicable. Include overall height and swivel-clearance limits so candidate products can be compared against the complete equipment interface.
